33/ Do we live in a virtual reality? The era of gods
In an interview, the well-known entrepreneur Elon Musk expressed a simple reflection on our reality. I think it was very apt and to the point. When the interviewer asked him whether he thought we live in a virtual reality, he answered, and I'm paraphrasing: "Everything suggests that we are inside a virtual reality, because if you take the progress we humans have made from the 1980s to the present in virtual reality — in programming — we have to admit that we are inside a virtual reality. How so? Because if the current pace of technological development, even cut in half, were to continue, we know that, say, in ten thousand years we would be able to simulate an entire universe, our entire reality."
HOW DO WE KNOW THIS TODAY?
Because we can observe it — people have already grasped the most fundamental principles of our reality today. They can see how the difference between switched on (everything) and switched off (nothing) programs our reality. We are already able to simulate an enormous number of life situations today, using nothing but programs and artificial intelligence, thanks to understood functional principles, thanks to cooperation across distant chips. The only thing we still lack today is the processing power of our devices, and that is why there is talk of a long-term human horizon.
THE AGE OF ANIMALS AND HUMANS
If that is so, if individuals today are already capable of glimpsing into future periods, it means a premature start to our future age — the age of gods — that is, the time when humans become gods, programmers who will know how to create our own reality.
While most scientists today still keep drawing our attention to the animal kingdom, comparing us to animals, flooding our minds with backwardness, a minority — yet a constantly growing one — of scientists is showing us the future direction of humanity, and is literally skipping over one age, the age of humanity. A period that is short, yet immensely necessary for kick-starting our prosperity. An important period for kick-starting cooperation among us, among human beings.
THE AGE OF GODS
As soon as we start cooperating with one another and stop competing like animals, enlightened individuals will kick-start a new period, one that will be limitless, one that will be eternal. Personally, I don't think we need even ten thousand years to reach that goal. The goal can be achieved much sooner.
If we want to become gods, we must first become human beings — in other words, cooperating autonomous conscious units, cooperating "chips," cooperating brains. Only that way will all of us gain the power needed for the conscious creation of our reality; only together can we be gods.
CONCLUSION
If our reality is virtual, simulated, then by whom, by what is it simulated? Who is creating a matrix-style reality for us? Who has that kind of power?
It is us — we ourselves create our reality, together. It is our consciousness, parceled out into an infinite number of autonomous units. Plant, animal, and human units. That is why so much emphasis is placed today on propaganda and influencing public opinion; that is why manipulators today rely on the topic of disinformation; that is why the battle today is not won on the battlefield, but is won in the information field.
Elon Musk explained it simply. If we see today that we are capable of changing the reality around us, it means our potential is far higher than the potential understood today at the animal, human level.
Our potential is divine, but we can achieve it only together, as humans.
